Our Trade Grade Dark Grey Roofing Topcoat is a high-quality GRP roofing topcoat designed to provide a tough, weather-resistant final coating for fibreglass flat roof systems. Supplied in a 20kg tin, this is our biggest-selling topcoat and offers excellent value for professional roofers, trade users and confident DIY installers.
Each 20kg tin covers approximately 40m², depending on application rate, roof condition and working conditions. The dark grey colour gives the roof a clean, professional appearance while helping protect the laminate from long-term weather exposure.
This topcoat is suitable for use as the final protective layer over a correctly installed GRP laminate. It is cold-applied, meaning no heat or naked flames are required during application.

Application Notes
Topcoat must be mixed with the correct hardener before use. Always follow the recommended hardener ratio for the working temperature and conditions.
For best results, apply the topcoat within 24 hours of laminating. If the laminate has been left overnight, wipe the surface with acetone before applying the topcoat. If it has been left for a couple of days, lightly abrade the surface and acetone wipe before coating.
Apply enough topcoat to fully protect the laminate without laying it on too heavily. Over-application can cause cracking, so always apply at the correct coverage rate.
